Whipped Cream

At top of the sketch examples is the clients sketch. Below in reverse are the preliminary sketches I sent for direction. The client picked the sketch on top. As the project progressed the client changed the words for the design. This design started as Whipped Cream then became Heavy Whipping Cream and ended up as Whipped Topping.

This project was done a long time ago for a low to no budget client. The lettering never materialized on the shelf in a grocery store. The only compensation is now being able to show a beautiful lettering piece in public which may eventually lead to another lettering project in the future.

Fuck Elitism

I lettered this one with a Crayola marker on a piece of cheap copy paper. Did it for elite snobs of the lettering arts who believe anything created with a marker is not worthy.

Tasty Treats

I took a 2+ year break from posting any hand lettering online to study brush and pointed pen. I am now creating a lot of pointed pen lettering. This lettering was created with an oblique pen I made and a Hunt 101 nib.

My Custom Pen Work on Pinterest

I have started pinning images of my calligraphy pen endeavor on Pinterest. I eventually plan to sell pens on my website in the near future.

The Start of a Bubinga Pen

After a long long hours in front of the computer screen dealing with project deadlines I started a pen with a Bubinga front section. Nice change of pace to finish off the day. Bubinga is a very dense wood that requires a very sharp tool to shape it. If the tool is dull the wood easily burns up.
The colors from left to right are Purple Heart, Yellow Heart, Wenge, Birdseye Maple, Wenge and Bubinga. This one is going to be quite beautiful with a thin tapered end.
